Hooters Unveils New Logo After 30 Years

ATLANTA, GA – At the end of July Hooters of America unveiled a new logo as part of its 30th anniversary celebration. The beloved “Hootie” logo received a modern makeover, giving the iconic owl a sleek new look that embodies the brand’s contemporary transformation while keeping in line with its iconic heritage.
“Revealing this new logo celebrates our 30-year legacy and continued growth as one of the most successful dining destinations in the world,” said Dave Henninger, chief marketing officer, Hooters of America. “We have already tested the contemporary design of the new Hootie with our customers and it was preferred 9 to 1 over our original logo, which will become part of our brand heritage.”
Viewers who tuned in to the 30th Anniversary Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant premiere last night on FOX-Speed TV got the first glimpse of the new Hooters logo. Guests who celebrated the Hooters of Shanghai City Center grand opening in China last week witnessed the first location-wide use of the new Hooters logo, where it appeared on banners and signage.
The refreshed Hootie will be rolled out systematically on new menus in select markets in August as well as on Hooters Girl tanks tops over the next several months. The new image is slated to appear on everything from menus and merchandise to store signage and digital platforms.
The fresh look coincides with Hooters new contemporary restaurant design that was introduced earlier this year with a remodeled Hooters of Kirby, Texas, location and the newly built Hooters of Slidell, La., just outside of New Orleans. All future remodeled locations will receive the new logo application on interior and exterior signage and materials.
“Hooters is a place where everyone can grab lunch, enjoy dinner, hang out after work, enjoy late night, or get together to watch the big game. As we welcome more guests through our doors, the logo refresh is one more enhancement that provides a glimpse of the future and helps us build on our 30-year history,” added Henninger.
